This Year's Topic

The Bible is the foundation for faith among followers of Christ in churches around the world. Yet many such Christians never think to ask why this is the case. After all . . .

  • How did we get this holy book?
  • Who decided what would and wouldn’t be included in it?
  • How do we know it’s true? Are there any errors in it?
  • Is it necessary?
  • Is it sufficient?
  • Is it authoritative for my life?
  • How can I understand it?

Even as Christians ask and answer such pivotal questions, the culture around us asks even more pressing questions: Isn’t the Bible antiquated and outdated? Isn’t it chauvinistic and offensive? Isn’t it downright deceptive and ultimately dangerous? During this Secret Church, we will explore answers to critical questions about the Bible in order to discern what place it should (or should not) have in the lives of Christians and the implications those answers have for our lives, our families, and our churches in the culture around us.

Hosted by Men’s Ministry, everyone is welcome

Summer Camps 2017

Incoming and graduated seniors will head to MOVE this summer at Biola University in California, and will examine the life of Simon Peter. Simon Peter was a simple man minding his own business, doing the things a fisherman does. One early morning he was exhausted and frustrated, having spent an entire night fishing with nothing to show for it. Things just didn’t seem to be going his way. AND THEN …He met Jesus!
Join MOVE in 2017, as we look at several stories from the life of Simon Peter and see what kinds of “AND THEN …” moments Jesus might have in store for you.

DATE: July 3-7, 2017
WHAT: Christ in Youth (CIY) MOVE Summer Conference
WHERE: BIOLA University in La Mirada, CA
COST: $450 (until March 26) | $475 (March 27 – June 19)

We have instant food, instant shipping, and instant satisfaction. Yet, with all of this stuff, it seems like we still aren’t happy, content, or fulfilled no matter how hard we try. We have lost our sense of wonder. But what if we could find the joy, hope, and awe that seems so far from us? This summer, we will be looking at stories of God as He brings wonder, hope, and life throughout the Bible. Together, we will find ourselves awestruck.
Your student will not only experience God through the wilderness, but find their lives transformed at this camp geared for the next level of growth in their faith. Students will also get to kayak, shoot paintballs, climb the rockwall, swim, and more!

DATE: July 27-31, 2017
WHERE: United Christian Youth Camp (UCYC) in Prescott, AZ
COST: $380 (until March 26) | $395 (March 27 – July 13)

Have you ever felt like life can be a fight? You have all sorts of pressures with school, friends, family, and everything else; it can feel like we are in an arena. This summer, we are going to talk about some good news — God wins. By looking at the life of Paul, we are going to see how God steps into every part of our lives and finds victory. He takes Paul, someone far from God, and uses him to impact the world. God wants to do the same thing in your life. The question is — Are you ready? Students will get to kayak, shoot paintballs, climb the rock wall, swim, and get to know other students in their same stage of life.

DATE: August 1-5, 2017
WHERE: United Christian Youth Camp (UCYC) in Prescott, AZ
COST: $370 (until March 26) | $385 (March 27 – July 18)

Scholarship amounts are based on available funding and will cover up to half the cost of the trip.

How to be considered for a scholarship assistance:

    • Your child must be registered ($50 deposit required) for the trip before you can be considered for a scholarship.
    • Fill out a scholarship application and submit it to the main office by May 1st.
    • Scholarship applications will be processed and offers will be made to parents by May 8th.

You then have the chance to accept the scholarship and agree to pay the remaining balance or withdraw your student from the trip and receive a refund of your deposit. Refunds will only be given if you withdraw by May 13th.

We celebrate this milestone with our church family two times a year, in the spring and fall, during each of our Sunday services. As you take this step to commit to God and your family your intentions of committing your home to Christ and raising your children with Biblical principles, we also take special care and preparation to make sure this is a meaningful, God-centered experience for your family. Child Dedication is not limited to infants, but is open to any child who has not yet made the decision to be baptized.

Our next Child Dedication is happening Sunday – May 14, 2017
