Men's 12 Step Study Group

Step-study groups are held during the week and meetings generally last 2 hours. Men and women, separated by gender, work through the four Participant's Guides, based on the twelve steps and their biblical comparison and follow the "5 Guidelines" during meetings. Groups meet weekly for about 12 months under the gentle and loving guidance of a trained leader and/or co-leader to let Christ help them reveal and deal with issues in their lives that have become heavy baggage. Whatever the hurt, habit or hang-up might be, people honestly working through the material in these step-study groups are able to form strong bonds and support teams, find accountability partners, sponsors and friends through sharing and caring. Most importantly, they are able to be freed from the shame, guilt and pain of their issues by learning to let go and let God take over one day at a time!

Next Gen

You can translate your passion for youth to impactful action behind-the-scenes or through direct interaction with kids and teens.

Get Started

Child Dedication

At the heart of dedicating a child is the dedication of mom and dad, because God has gifted you with this marvelous gift of life.

Steps to prepare for dedication day:
  • Registration typically starts about a month before the Dedication
  • Submit 3-5 photographs prior to the orientation
  • Registration is now open.
      • Orientation is required for each family dedicating a child at The Crossing.
      • During Orientation, we walk through the details of Dedication Day, as well as the why and what child dedication is.
      • Our hope is for both parents to attend, if possible

What about baptism?

At The Crossing, Child Dedication does not involve baptism.  We believe baptism is a decision an individual makes after they have chosen to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, repented of their sin and then choose to be baptized as a public confession and profession that they are following Christ. We do not practice child baptism until an individual is old enough to articulate those steps.

We at The Crossing want to partner with you on this parenting journey as you guide your child in building their spiritual foundation.  We pray that God will give you great wisdom and that your home will be filled with the love of Jesus.  May your love for Christ be so richly evident that the most natural thing for your child to do is love Jesus just like mom and dad do.

Our next Child Dedication is happening:

Family Promise

The Crossing partners with Family Promise of Las Vegas to host families at our church campus four times per year. The families that stay with us are in the process of transitioning out of homelessness and back into permanent housing. Family Promise also interviews, background checks, and drug tests each of the families to ensure they’re going to be a good fit for the program before bringing them to stay with us.

For an entire week, volunteers from The Crossing serve families by providing overnight housing and meals during their time of transition. These families spend the nights at our church and their days interviewing for jobs, attending classes, and making the adjustment to a more stable future. While they stay with us, we typically house between 8-15 people total at a time, which includes both parents and their kids.

Jump in and sign up to volunteer with us and serve these families while they’ll be staying at our church!

Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Meal providers:  Pick a day and meal to provide for the families staying with us.
  • Breakfast or lunch providers:  Drop off the meals during office hours the day before they sign up for.
  • Dinner providers: Bring a meal at 5:45PM the day you’ve signed up for and spend some time sharing that meal with the families.

Overnight hosting:
Spending the evening at the church with the families to build relationships, be available to call Family Promise staff or our church staff if something comes up, and be available to help out wherever is necessary to ensure everyone has a great stay. We provide you with food, your own room to sleep in, and an air mattress to sleep on. There is also a mandatory training that volunteers must go through before overnight hosting as well. Hosts are required to be here from 5PM-7AM the following morning.

Thank you so much for serving with us to make an impact in our community by showing love to people going through a tough time.
