What would you be called today?

Encouragement

Paraklēsis

John 14:16 NIV And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—

Romans 12:6A, 8A 8 NIV 6We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us... 8 if it is to encourage (parakaleō), then give encouragement….

Encouragement has spiritual power in a world of negativity.

En-couragement
“To put courage into someone” Production note - this is to appear below en-couragement when called for.

Encouragement is not about flattery.
It’s Spirit-filled, faith-breathing, destiny-shaping words and actions.

Acts 9:26 NIV When he came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple.

Acts 9:27 NIV But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.

Who in your life needs you to speak encouragement to them or for them?

Acts 9:28 NIV So Saul stayed with them and moved about freely in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.

Your encouragement helps people see God’s best for their lives.

Acts 11:22-24 NIV 22 News of this reached the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. 23 When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. 24 He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.

Acts 11:25-26 NIV 25Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, 26and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

Dis-couragement
“To take courage out of someone”Production note - this is to appear below dis-couragement when called for.

Where do you see discouragement in your world?
You have the opportunity to bring the hope of Jesus.
