ReImagine Influence

Acts 16:6-7 (NIV) Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of
Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word
in the province of Asia.  7  When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to
enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to.

Acts 16:9-10, 12 (NIV) During the night Paul had a vision of a man of
Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help
us.”  10  After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for
Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.
12  From there we traveled to Philippi, a Roman colony and the leading city of that
district of Macedonia. And we stayed there several days.

Acts 16:13 (NIV) On the Sabbath we went outside the city gate to the river,
where we expected to find a place of prayer. We sat down and began to speak to
the women who had gathered there.

Acts 16:14a (NIV) One of those listening was a woman from the city of
Thyatira named Lydia, a dealer in purple cloth.

Acts 16:14b (NIV) She was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to
respond to Paul’s message.

13
Acts 16:15 (NIV) When she and the members of her household were
baptized, she invited us to her home. “If you consider me a believer in the Lord,”
she said, “come and stay at my house.” And she persuaded us.

Gospel.
Open Heart.
Baptism.

Acts 16:40 (NIV) After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia’s
house, where they met with the brothers and sisters and encouraged them. Then
they left.

THE GOSPEL CHANGES LIVES

1 Corinthians 2:2 (NIV) For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you
except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

Romans 1:16 (NIV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power
of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.

GOD OPENS HEARTS

Acts 16:14b (NIV) The Lord opened her heart to respond to Paul’s message.

BAPTISM IS YOUR RESPONSE

Acts 2:41 (NIV) Those who accepted his message were baptized…

Romans 6:3-4 (NIV) Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into
Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?  4  We were therefore buried with him
through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead
through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has
come: The old has gone, the new is here!
